Losing Sight of Joy in Motherhood

Losing Sight of Joy in Motherhood

The house is finally quiet. I just loaded the dishwasher, moved the sprinkler and started some laundry. About 30 minutes ago I laid all three of my boys down for a nap and I am exhausted. They wear me out in good ways and in the really bad ways, like tantrums, fighting, crying, etc.
I grab my glass of iced water and sit down for a moment, the only moment in my day when I am completely and..

Cultivating a Heart of Praise

Cultivating a Heart of Praise

Do you ever feel like God gives you more than you can handle? Do you sometimes feel like, “wow, God, what are you trying to do to me? Another trial, another hardship?”

Recently, I’ve gone through one of the most trying time periods of my life. I say “time period” because just when I thought one trial had ended, another one began. There was a point where I was scared of something going right because I kept having a feeling that something would go terribly wrong if it did! Long story short, my puppy ran away, got hit by a car, (she’s better now), baby Nolan, (who was 4 months old at the time) and I got in a car accident and my car was totaled; I was out of a car, had back pain, a minor fracture in my wrist, stress, anxiety, the baby was teething, Dylan and I weren’t sleeping, we were easily upset, and a multitude of other issues all happened within a month. I was in and out of doctor appointments every week it seemed like.

I was scared. I was tired. I felt lost.Have you ever felt this way?

What I Would Tell My Younger Self About Perfection

What I Would Tell My Younger Self About Perfection

If you’re like me, growing up I heard the Gospel once or twice a week when I went to church-Wednesday nights for Awana and Sunday mornings. And if you’re like me, hearing the Gospel consisted of hearing, or watching through a felt board presentation, Jesus coming to Earth, dying for our sins, and rising again three days later. I knew it was a powerful truth that could save me if I put my faith and trust in Jesus. So, when I was seven, I did just that and declared my belief and faith in what Jesus did for me and the whole world. I knew I was going to Heaven because of John 3:16, but for me, it seemed too good to be true.

All I had to do was simply have faith, and that would secure my Eternity? Soon after my decision I would doubt my Salvation so much that I would pray that prayer over and over again to “make sure” I was still “good” with God. Oh, how I was wrong. You see, I knew what the news of the Gospel was and what I needed to do to get to Heaven, but what I didn’t grasp was the earth-shattering truth of the GRACE of the Gospel.

Health, Fitness and the Christian Girl

Health, Fitness and the Christian Girl

A couple of weeks ago I took a poll on our Instagram and asked how many of you were interested in living a healthy life and honoring God with your bodies by staying in shape and I was surprised by how many of you answered in favor!

With almost 80% of you interested in health and fitness it got me excited because it’s one of my hobbies/passions.Some of you may be wondering what health and fitness has to do with Christianity and honoring God. I never cared about or thought about living a healthy life when I was a teenager or in my early twenties until I realized the importance of it and how important it is for our Christian walk.

Let me explain.

Overcoming Your Struggle With Health

Overcoming Your Struggle With Health

Hi ladies. I want to talk about so much in this article. There are so many things about health, fitness, sickness, injuries, and disorders that I want to touch on. God has been putting on my heart for sometime now to open up about this part of my life. I’ve put it off for long enough. Now I don’t know where to begin or even how to say all the things I want to say.

The word “health” is not a..

How to Handle Your Sexual Desires as a Single Girl

How to Handle Your Sexual Desires as a Single Girl

(By Kristen Clark)

I may be married now, but I was single for 24 years and I know exactly what it’s like to have unfulfilled sexual desires. In fact, I have a really embarrassing story to confess to you.

When I was a young teenager, I thought it would be a good idea to “practice” kissing before I met my husband. So…I “practiced” by smooching a designated kissing spot on my wall inside my..

It’s Okay to be Different From Other Christian Women

It’s Okay to be Different From Other Christian Women

I knew a girl once who was worried that she wouldn’t look like the perfect Christian girl to whoever she met. She was worried that the older women in her church wouldn’t think she was as mature or as wise as her own mother. She was worried that the younger Christian women would think that she was not “relatable” enough-meaning she had to get with the modern flow of Christianity.

This girl..
