Welcome to our second 14 day journey in “Prayers for My Future Husband”! “Prayers for My Future Husband”

So, welcome to Prayers for My Future Husband Part 2!

We are so excited that you decided to join us for praying for your future husband. This is going to be awesome! And did you know that your future beloved needs these prayers? He truly does.

How to Start

So, of course you can just read these prayers and be done with them, but I would like to encourage you to really make this a personal journey in prayer. A way to do that is to write these prayers out in your own words in your journal, diary, notebook or whatever works for you. Then, after this 14 day journey, you can save those little prayers in a special box or chest. Then on your wedding day give them to your husband. It will be like your own wedding present to him! He will really love this, ladies. You can hold onto these prayers forever! But we want them in your own words so that it’s really coming from you and the Lord.

Here are 5 steps that you can take to really make this prayer journey personal and effective:

Step 1. There are 14 payers for you to pray for your future husband for 14 days-start on day one and fight the urge to do all of them in one day. Spend time on each prayer, each day.

Step 2. We want you as the reader, to read it,

Step 3Pray it, and

Step 4. Write/or pray it in your own words.

Step 5. Save all your written prayers for your honeymoon! Give your husband one prayer a day on your special honeymoon, it will make it even more special. 😉

Remember ladies, after the 14th prayer it doesn’t have to end. This 2 week journey is just a jump-start for you! After Prayers for our Future Husbands Part 2 ends, you can continue to pray in your daily devotions, before you go to bed, when your sitting in the living room, when your doing dishes, ect. Whenever you remember to… just pray!
We hope you will join us in our second 2 week prayer journey. Your future husband needs it!

P.S. We also made a 2 week prayer journey for future wives as well! It’s called Prayers for Becoming a Future Wife. Make sure to give that a try!

Okay, ready to get start?! Of course you are… Enjoy the journey and let us know how you do! God bless.

Let's Get Started!

Prayers for Our Future Husbands

the-one-1

Day 1

Lord Jesus,
Thank you for your loving care. Thank you for having a perfect plan for my life. I pray that you would instill in my life trust and patience in you, God. I pray for my future beloved, that you would be with him today while he is at work, while he is driving, while he interacts with other people-go with him, God. I pray that you would speak to him today, make your voice the most prominent voice in his life.

While I don’t know what he struggles with, you do. I don’t know his dreams, but you do. I don’t know his past, but you do. Help me know how to pray for him today, before I even know him… And Lord, please be his everything so that when we meet he can lead us closer to you, together.

Make my future beloved into the spiritual leader that I need and that our future family will need. Show him how important that aspect of a relationship is. Protect and shield him from any lies that the devil may send to bring him down today. Thank you for loving he and I, Lord. Show us how to love you in return. I love you, Jesus.

Amen!

Day 2

Dear Lord,
In a world that is okay with every imaginable perversion of the truth and sexual sin, I pray that you would give my future husband victory over the temptations that saturate today’s world.

While from every mouth easy gratification is being proclaimed as a basic human right, give him the wisdom to realize that there is something more to be strived for. In all areas of his life let him be seeking your will and your glory above his own wishes and desires. Give him complete conviction that in the end your ways will yield the greatest satisfaction.

Surround him with other men that are seeking purity and truth who will encourage him to higher standards rather than presenting him with opportunities to stumble. Give him friends that are willing to call him out for things that will hurt his purity, and likewise, let him be the kind of man that knows how to gracefully provoke his peer group to a higher standard of living. Above all, give him the wisdom to desire your plan above the ways of the world.

Amen.

day-2

Day 3

Dear Father,
I want to lift up my future husband in prayer today. Thank you for the man he is today and for the man he will be tomorrow. I ask in faith that you would guard and protect him from attacks from the devil today. Secure him in your grasp, Jesus. Thank you for his heart and I pray that you would draw him closer to you today.

I pray that this man you have planned for my future is a man of uprightness and integrity. I pray that despite anything that he might have gone through in the past that you would make his story one of victory. Turn his tests into testimonies and his trials into triumphs. I ask that you would continue molding him and shaping him into a man after your own heart.

I pray that while he is working and preparing for his future that I would have the drive and ambition to do the same. Instill in both of us patience and trust in your plan, Father. Thank you for your perfect plan for my life and his. I ask these things in the power of your Son’s Name.

Amen!

Day 4

Dear Jesus,
Please help my future husband to daily become closer with you. Each day may he love you more and more. Please help him to put you first in his life. There are so many distractions that come up throughout the day and even if they are innocent ones they can still hinder his getting to spend time with you.

So, I pray that you would be the first thing on his mind when he awakes in the morning and that he will keep meditating and thinking about you and your word all day long until he goes to sleep at night.

Please help Him to seek out your word, the Bible, and to have a hunger and thirst to know you better and to hear what you are trying to say to him within it. Guide him through your word and give him wisdom and understanding as he reads it. May he thrive and flourish like the man in Psalm 1 who is constantly thinking upon your law. Please equip him in his quiet time with you to meet whatever the day may throw at Him and to boldly follow wherever you may lead him.

Amen!

day5-1

Day 5

Lord Jesus,
I pray that you would be with my future beloved today. Be strong in him, be a source of passion and devotion in him today. I pray that you would instill in him diligence and hard work. May whatever he does, prosper. I pray that you would make his efforts successful.

Give him integrity and purpose at work or schooling and studying your Word. Help him to remember who he is in you. Renew his strength when he is weary, give him love for others around him, and bless his relationship with the authorities and leaders in his life.

May he learn to trust in you for everything, finances, friends, grades, his future, ect. Help him to know you have a great, wild, adventurous plan and purpose for his life! Gift his hands while he is at work or school today-whatever he does, please be with him, guiding and directing his every step. Bless his day, Lord.
Amen!

Day 6

Dear Father,
Thank you for the plan you have for my future husband’s life to bring your Son glory. Please give him the desire for only you. Please take away any desires that are not from you and give him a right passion and purpose in life. Holy Spirit, please reveal truth to him daily.

God, these are things that he can’t do for himself, things that others can’t do for him; it’s what only you can do. Let his life be such that when others see the love and truth in him, he can truly say that it is all from you and for you. Thank you, Lord, for everything you have done in his life so far, and for everything you will continue to do.

Amen.

day7-8

Day 7

Lord Jesus,
I pray a special prayer of happiness over my future husband today. Please uplift him if he is afraid, or lonely or hurting. Give him a spirit of joy, Jesus. You are our Prince of Peace and Wonderful Counselor. Please counsel him in your peace and in a joy that only you can give.

Let him laugh, let him find happiness in the small pleasures of life-in the little moments where it’s sometimes hard to find joy. I pray that you would strengthen his desire to be pure before your eyes. Gift him with a desire to strive after you and to be honorable and bless him with an abundant life for wanting to do so.

Thank you for him, Jesus. Whoever he is, thank you for him. Thank you for his love for you and thank you for his love for others. Give him a love for life with you. Thank you, Lord. Please bring us together soon!

Amen

Day 8

Father in Heaven,
Give my future husband courage. Fill him with the unashamed fearlessness that comes with the understanding that you are sovereign. Let him be in communion with you and let him be seeking your word so that when he is faced with a difficult decision, he will have the courage to make that decision without anxiety or fear. Remind him that nothing is outside of your will and nothing can thwart your good and perfect plan.

Let him not be afraid of the future, but let him walk forward each day in faith. Life can be uncertain and scary, but let him rest in your will and grace. Free him from a life that is decided by fear. Don’t let him live a life that is measured with “what if’s” and “worst case scenarios.” Let him know the difference between caution and fear and allow him to be the kind of man that can say, “By God’s grace I am making the best decision that I know how to,” and then to carry on with his days in confidence.
Amen.

For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. 2 Timothy 1:7

day9-1

Day 9

Dear Father,
First of all, I would like to thank you for making me the person I am so that I could be the perfect person that my future husband needs me to be. I pray that when you bring us together that he would know how to care for me and a family. Gift him with a fatherly spirit and a loving spirit. Help us know how to grow closer together under you.

Jesus, I know that you can give the two of us a better future than we could ever imagine. I pray that you would give us both the faith to trust and believe that. Bless my future husband with multiplied faith today. Help him know that you are near and that you have a future and a plan for his life. Help him not to get distracted but to stay the course-give him a vision for the future and help him work towards it.

Protect him from Satan who would like nothing better than to prevent a godly relationship. Equip him with the armor of righteousness and your strength to go to battle today. Bless him with peace, Lord. Thank you for everything you’re doing in and through his life, today and everyday.
Amen!

Day 10

Dear Jesus,
I ask that you would give my future husband the patience to wait upon you in bringing us together. No matter what other paths or adventures you may have him go on before the day comes that we finally get to be with one another. Please help him to trust you that you have the right spouse picked out for him and waiting for him. I ask that he would not lose sight of that and become discouraged when other relationships don’t work out for him. But that he would be reminded that you already have it all planned out in your perfect timing for him with bringing a wife into his life.

Please give him the strength to keep his heart, mind, and body pure as a single man. Help him to safeguard his heart and not try to give it away to the wrong person. Like it says in Proverbs 23, help him to keep his heart with all diligence. I ask that he would always be looking to you to direct his paths and that you would be preparing him to become a husband and father right now while he excitedly looks forward to that day in the future. Thank you Lord.
Amen.

day12-1

Day 11

Dear Father,
There are so many things I want to pray for my future husband, but one of the most pressing things is to ask that you would protect him from temptation. Temptation to follow the world, to think less of himself, to accuse himself with guilt and shame, temptation to hang out with the wrong people.

I pray against these things in the Name of Your Son, Jesus. Please be with my future husband today in all that he does. Prosper his hands, let everything he does reflect your life in him. Protect him from impure thoughts that will only bring him down.

Lord, when he is tempted to think less of himself, let his identity in you become greater than his identity in the world. Help him know that you love him and that you have great things in store for his life if only he is willing to trust you for them. Teach him how to wait on you alone, Father. Teach me to wait on you too. Please help us both to trust your timing for everything. Thank you, Lord! I love you.
Amen!

Day 12

Dear Lord,

Thank you for how you are maturing and growing my future husband every day. Thank you for the man that you are shaping him into. Lord, I ask that you would be preparing him to be uniquely suited to encourage me to grow closer to you. Let our strengths and weaknesses compliment each other in a way that will make us both into godlier people. Make him the kind of man that I will also be able to encourage in his daily walk. I ask that the greatest goal of both of us will be your glory, but I also ask that you would make our unique callings compliment and each other’s.

Encourage my future husband in his dreams and plans, and let him be always seeking your will. As he continues to grow and be formed into the man that you are making him into, give him a vision and a purpose that pleases you and furthers your kingdom. While he is single, I pray that you would be giving him valuable, fulfilling, tasks to accomplish that further your kingdom. And once we are brought together I pray that you would enable us to be a team that works to further the kingdom of Christ.
Amen.

day13-1

Day 13

Lord Jesus,

Thank you so much for my future beloved! Thank you for the man you’ve called him to be. I pray that you would prepare him for a relationship and for marriage. Prepare his heart, his mind, and his future. I pray that he would fall desperately in love with you before he falls in love with me, Jesus. I ask that you would teach him how to love you before he learns how to love his wife.

Give him wisdom and intuition for his future marriage, guard him from making bad decisions that may hurt or affect our future. God, if he makes mistakes along the way help him to know the extreme depths of your grace. Let him know that there is NO condemnation in you, Lord. Restore the joy of salvation in his life. Don’t allow him to continue in sin or beat himself up for his mistakes.

Lord, let my future husband know how much you love him, lift up his head and let him be strong in his faith. Help him realize the warrior he is in you. I love you, Father! Prepare me as well as my darling for a relationship under you.
Amen!

Day 14

Dear Jesus,

I might not know who my future husband is but I do know that he is the man you have hand-picked for me. You know his strengths and weakness as well as mine. I know that you will bring us together in your timing, in your will and in your power. Help the both of us to trust you for everything. Help us to rely on you for true happiness and contentedness instead of each other.

I know that whatever lies ahead in our future together that you will be with us. I pray that every decision that my future husband and I make leading up to the day we marry will be one made seeking your wisdom. Please help us to choose to do the right thing, always. Please guard and protect both of our hearts. Be the center of our lives, our relationship and our future.

Bring us together under you and for your glory, Jesus. Bless my future husband today, give him joy, give him a heart for you and a heart for others. Don’t let the pressures and demands of the world around him bring him down. Please sheild and uphold him with your righteous right hand. I ask all of these things in Your Holy Name.
Amen!
