The Choice

It’s 2 or 3 o’clock in the afternoon and the breakfast dishes still aren’t done, there is a load of laundry in the washer from yesterday, the kids are in the bath crying, and daddy will be home expecting a nice dinner soon. You sigh to yourself and look in the mirror. A lop-sided ponytail and tired eyes look back at you. You have a choice. Hold a grudge against the house, your kids, your calling, your husband; Entertain selfish thoughts, and continue the day in anger and frustration ending only in self-pity and regret. Or 2. Choose to surrender the house, your kids, your duties, your appearance, and dinner to the Lord! He will give you the strength and ability to conquer your day and circumstances with His righteous right hand! Trust Him, He will come to your aid. And at the end of the day remember this verse.
“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Matt:11:28-30
