Are You Saving or Killing?

“Every man has his secret sorrows which the world knows not; and often times we call a man cold when he is only sad.”
― Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Sometimes we can judge people. We don’t mean to, but sometimes we do. Words kill. And if people could hear what we were thinking about we would all be murderers. We judge people without even thinking sometimes. Walking through Walmart, at the park, at the library, and even at home, we judge. Our soul is the anchor of our thoughts. What is in our soul comes out in thoughts, thoughts turn into actions and actions determine our life. The Bible says if you judge “you will be judged in the same way.” Matt.7. We don’t know what people are going through. We don’t know the story of their lives! All we can do is see them on the outside. But if you look really closely before you make your assumptions about the person, it is possible to see what they are struggling with or what they are like on the inside. It is possible. Don’t look at the ugly girl dressed weird at the mall and assume you know what she is like. Don’t look at the hyper boy with lots of piercings on his body and cringe and act disgusted. You don’t know what they’ve been through!
Right now I want to encourage you to rent this movie called “To Save a Life”. It proves this point very dramatically and causes you to think! Please watch it. People need help sometimes you know. People want someone to listen. How many lives could you save if you just try to listen? How many could you destroy if you ignore? I think you know what I’m talking about. Watch the movie and then pray. We all do it. We all fail. We all judge. There’s no getting around it. But once we recognize a sin that’s where the change process comes in! God shows us sin to make room for growth and change. But don’t turn a blind eye and deny the sin. Please watch this movie. It says everything I can’t say. Thanks everyone!
