Welcome to our second 14 day journey in “Prayers for My Future Husband”! Check out the original
“Prayers for My Future Husband”
So, welcome to Prayers for My Future Husband Part 2!
We are so excited that you decided to join us for praying for your future husband. This is going to be awesome! And did you know that your future beloved needs these prayers? He truly does.
How to Start
So, of course you can just read these prayers and be done with them, but I would like to encourage you to really make this a personal journey in prayer. A way to do that is to write these prayers out in your own words in your journal, diary, notebook or whatever works for you. Then, after this 14 day journey, you can save those little prayers in a special box or chest. Then on your wedding day give them to your husband. It will be like your own wedding present to him! He will really love this, ladies. You can hold onto these prayers forever! But we want them in your own words so that it’s really coming from you and the Lord.
Here are 5 steps that you can take to really make this prayer journey personal and effective:
Step 1. There are 14 payers for you to pray for your future husband for 14 days-start on day one and fight the urge to do all of them in one day. Spend time on each prayer, each day.
Step 2. We want you as the reader, to read it,
Step 3. Pray it, and
Step 4. Write/or pray it in your own words.
Step 5. Save all your written prayers for your honeymoon! Give your husband one prayer a day on your special honeymoon, it will make it even more special. 😉
Remember ladies, after the 14th prayer it doesn’t have to end. This 2 week journey is just a jump-start for you! After Prayers for our Future Husbands Part 2 ends, you can continue to pray in your daily devotions, before you go to bed, when your sitting in the living room, when your doing dishes, ect. Whenever you remember to… just pray!
We hope you will join us in our second 2 week prayer journey. Your future husband needs it!
P.S. We also made a 2 week prayer journey for future wives as well! It’s called Prayers for Becoming a Future Wife. Make sure to give that a try!
Okay, ready to get start?! Of course you are… Enjoy the journey and let us know how you do! God bless.
Let's Get Started!
Prayers for Our Future Husbands
Day 1
Lord Jesus,
Thank you for your loving care. Thank you for having a perfect plan for my life. I pray that you would instill in my life trust and patience in you, God. I pray for my future beloved, that you would be with him today while he is at work, while he is driving, while he interacts with other people-go with him, God. I pray that you would speak to him today, make your voice the most prominent voice in his life.
While I don’t know what he struggles with, you do. I don’t know his dreams, but you do. I don’t know his past, but you do. Help me know how to pray for him today, before I even know him… And Lord, please be his everything so that when we meet he can lead us closer to you, together.
Make my future beloved into the spiritual leader that I need and that our future family will need. Show him how important that aspect of a relationship is. Protect and shield him from any lies that the devil may send to bring him down today. Thank you for loving he and I, Lord. Show us how to love you in return. I love you, Jesus.
Amen!
Day 2
Dear Lord,
In a world that is okay with every imaginable perversion of the truth and sexual sin, I pray that you would give my future husband victory over the temptations that saturate today’s world.
While from every mouth easy gratification is being proclaimed as a basic human right, give him the wisdom to realize that there is something more to be strived for. In all areas of his life let him be seeking your will and your glory above his own wishes and desires. Give him complete conviction that in the end your ways will yield the greatest satisfaction.
Surround him with other men that are seeking purity and truth who will encourage him to higher standards rather than presenting him with opportunities to stumble. Give him friends that are willing to call him out for things that will hurt his purity, and likewise, let him be the kind of man that knows how to gracefully provoke his peer group to a higher standard of living. Above all, give him the wisdom to desire your plan above the ways of the world.
Amen.
Day 3
Dear Father,
I want to lift up my future husband in prayer today. Thank you for the man he is today and for the man he will be tomorrow. I ask in faith that you would guard and protect him from attacks from the devil today. Secure him in your grasp, Jesus. Thank you for his heart and I pray that you would draw him closer to you today.
I pray that this man you have planned for my future is a man of uprightness and integrity. I pray that despite anything that he might have gone through in the past that you would make his story one of victory. Turn his tests into testimonies and his trials into triumphs. I ask that you would continue molding him and shaping him into a man after your own heart.
I pray that while he is working and preparing for his future that I would have the drive and ambition to do the same. Instill in both of us patience and trust in your plan, Father. Thank you for your perfect plan for my life and his. I ask these things in the power of your Son’s Name.
Amen!
Day 4
Dear Jesus,
Please help my future husband to daily become closer with you. Each day may he love you more and more. Please help him to put you first in his life. There are so many distractions that come up throughout the day and even if they are innocent ones they can still hinder his getting to spend time with you.
So, I pray that you would be the first thing on his mind when he awakes in the morning and that he will keep meditating and thinking about you and your word all day long until he goes to sleep at night.
Please help Him to seek out your word, the Bible, and to have a hunger and thirst to know you better and to hear what you are trying to say to him within it. Guide him through your word and give him wisdom and understanding as he reads it. May he thrive and flourish like the man in Psalm 1 who is constantly thinking upon your law. Please equip him in his quiet time with you to meet whatever the day may throw at Him and to boldly follow wherever you may lead him.
Amen!
Day 5
Day 6
Day 7
Lord Jesus,
I pray a special prayer of happiness over my future husband today. Please uplift him if he is afraid, or lonely or hurting. Give him a spirit of joy, Jesus. You are our Prince of Peace and Wonderful Counselor. Please counsel him in your peace and in a joy that only you can give.
Let him laugh, let him find happiness in the small pleasures of life-in the little moments where it’s sometimes hard to find joy. I pray that you would strengthen his desire to be pure before your eyes. Gift him with a desire to strive after you and to be honorable and bless him with an abundant life for wanting to do so.
Thank you for him, Jesus. Whoever he is, thank you for him. Thank you for his love for you and thank you for his love for others. Give him a love for life with you. Thank you, Lord. Please bring us together soon!
Amen
Day 8
Father in Heaven,
Give my future husband courage. Fill him with the unashamed fearlessness that comes with the understanding that you are sovereign. Let him be in communion with you and let him be seeking your word so that when he is faced with a difficult decision, he will have the courage to make that decision without anxiety or fear. Remind him that nothing is outside of your will and nothing can thwart your good and perfect plan.
Let him not be afraid of the future, but let him walk forward each day in faith. Life can be uncertain and scary, but let him rest in your will and grace. Free him from a life that is decided by fear. Don’t let him live a life that is measured with “what if’s” and “worst case scenarios.” Let him know the difference between caution and fear and allow him to be the kind of man that can say, “By God’s grace I am making the best decision that I know how to,” and then to carry on with his days in confidence.
Amen.
For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. 2 Timothy 1:7
Day 9
Dear Father,
First of all, I would like to thank you for making me the person I am so that I could be the perfect person that my future husband needs me to be. I pray that when you bring us together that he would know how to care for me and a family. Gift him with a fatherly spirit and a loving spirit. Help us know how to grow closer together under you.
Jesus, I know that you can give the two of us a better future than we could ever imagine. I pray that you would give us both the faith to trust and believe that. Bless my future husband with multiplied faith today. Help him know that you are near and that you have a future and a plan for his life. Help him not to get distracted but to stay the course-give him a vision for the future and help him work towards it.
Protect him from Satan who would like nothing better than to prevent a godly relationship. Equip him with the armor of righteousness and your strength to go to battle today. Bless him with peace, Lord. Thank you for everything you’re doing in and through his life, today and everyday.
Amen!
Day 10
Day 11
Dear Father,
There are so many things I want to pray for my future husband, but one of the most pressing things is to ask that you would protect him from temptation. Temptation to follow the world, to think less of himself, to accuse himself with guilt and shame, temptation to hang out with the wrong people.
I pray against these things in the Name of Your Son, Jesus. Please be with my future husband today in all that he does. Prosper his hands, let everything he does reflect your life in him. Protect him from impure thoughts that will only bring him down.
Lord, when he is tempted to think less of himself, let his identity in you become greater than his identity in the world. Help him know that you love him and that you have great things in store for his life if only he is willing to trust you for them. Teach him how to wait on you alone, Father. Teach me to wait on you too. Please help us both to trust your timing for everything. Thank you, Lord! I love you.
Amen!
Day 12
Day 13
Lord Jesus,
Thank you so much for my future beloved! Thank you for the man you’ve called him to be. I pray that you would prepare him for a relationship and for marriage. Prepare his heart, his mind, and his future. I pray that he would fall desperately in love with you before he falls in love with me, Jesus. I ask that you would teach him how to love you before he learns how to love his wife.
Give him wisdom and intuition for his future marriage, guard him from making bad decisions that may hurt or affect our future. God, if he makes mistakes along the way help him to know the extreme depths of your grace. Let him know that there is NO condemnation in you, Lord. Restore the joy of salvation in his life. Don’t allow him to continue in sin or beat himself up for his mistakes.
Lord, let my future husband know how much you love him, lift up his head and let him be strong in his faith. Help him realize the warrior he is in you. I love you, Father! Prepare me as well as my darling for a relationship under you.
Amen!
